The king who hunts her heart.
When Zélie seized the royal palace that fateful night, she thought her battles had come to an end. The monarchy had finally fallen. The maji had risen again. Zélie never expected to find herself locked in a cage and trapped on a foreign ship. Now warriors with iron skulls traffick her and her people across the seas, far from their homeland.
Then everything changes when Zélie meets King Baldyr, her true captor and the man who has ravaged entire civilizations to find her. The ruler of the Skulls, Baldyr’s quest to harness Zélie’s strength sends Zélie, Amari, and Tzain searching for allies in foreign lands.
But as Baldyr closes in, catastrophe charges Orïsha’s shores. It will take everything Zélie has to face her final enemy and save her people before the Skulls annihilate them for good.

Fascinating to state the least. I didn't know the Victorians copied this priceless work of historical art, now on display in Reading. Although it is a copy, there have been minor changes, as you explain. You didn't say why these Victorians wanted to copy it. How did they copy it if the original was in France? This version too is a masterpiece.

Great to hear Daniel's insight into creating these audiobooks. It was also very pleasing to see that the first 3 books have been re-recorded with him reading them, just a slight shame to discover this having just finished listening to Not Dead Enough (again) and there not being any information about whether he'll be doing the other books up to Not Dead Yet as well. Fingers crossed!

Just finished the book and even though I was hooked Iwas and am also disappointed. I realised early on that it was unlikely to have a happy ending. But I didn't expect to be kind of annoyed with all the main characters. And I honestly think its lazy of the author to leave the ending open. And just what's the point of letting Eilis go back to Ireland and to Jim if not to make them happy in the end? It is not a stand alone book even if the author likes to see it this way. This starts miserable and ends extremely unsatisfactory. Bleh.

The best education you can get is by dating one. I did for 3 years. Dad went to Yale and is a doctor. Parents still together. Brother sister 10k $ dog cat summers in Europe through high school Ivy League education. The first red flag was the Obama portrait in the upstairs living room. The devotion to liberalism. I stuck around 3 years only to get what I knew quickly (under 6 months) was a massive disorder. Compulsive liar meaning doesn’t respect the truth and doesn’t know it from something completely and obviously false. Compulsive cheater (I didn’t care I was using her after month 3 for one thing just manipulating her and okaying her game for the free milk). It’s nothing for her to do 4 - 5 guys a week while maintaining a strait face proclaiming monogamous (which I never asked her to be). If you tell her it’s ok to be with other people and suggest couple swaps group s*x they will be offended yet do those things behind your back lie about it then fess up a month later every month for 3 years. When I say compulsive 7 random strangers off tinder in a day wouldn’t be shocking but expected roughly every 3 months. In relationships with other people lasting months saying I love to them and you as the primary one. This is a way of life for them. Not a phase. Zero empathy. Zero remorse. Completely offended if confronted then ghosted to teach you a lesson for questioning their obvious superiority. I could go on for not days or months but years giving examples. 2 facts. One: I got exactly what I wanted. 2. She’s now brain dead from all the drugs and barely 30. Had a kid it died in less than 3 months. I wasn’t the father she had birth control inserted the whole time I was w her thankfully. These people do not and are incapable of change. If this is what you’d settle for in a wife have at it. Making xxx vids yes. They’re great at that one thing. Anything else prepare yourself with a ready made suicide or homicide note unless you’re just truly a masochist. If this book glorifies or has an ounce of success written in it I would advise you to verify before believing an ounce of it. If these idiots lips are moving, they’re lying. This is based on 3 years of first hand well documented experience and research. If this author suggests otherwise I would tell you they’re either misdiagnosed or lying. Simple as that

Do you stim? Do you stick rigorously to routines? Do you have any special interests you always had from early childhood in that you invest long hours of the day and have gained encyclopedic knowledge on? Are you very easily overstimulated by sensory stimuli such as sound, light, texture to an extent it's unbearable for you? Do you struggle with social relationships and social interaction? ASD is a spectrum but the spectrum is within these symptoms.

Thank you for a brilliant reading of this wonderful book. Jessie is the perfect choice and created irresistible characters so well - especially the older women on both sides of the Atlantic. It was so clear she has an intimate understanding of them. He’s a brilliant writer of story and so skilled that there’s never a need to describe the mechanics of a plot. It’s all unfolds through the inner lives of these characters. Living in such tight communities, they openly express so little that when even a glimpse of the truth is exposed events take on an energy and life of their own. It’s like a dam bursting. The book begins and ends with such and between times you’re on the edge of your seat, keeping everything crossed and just hoping for the best for all of them. It’s superb and so is Jessie.
